Truth and peace of mind
So much effort and angst goes into in avoiding truth.
Take Wikileaks, for example. How much strain and negative energy went into the denying and discrediting? How much more peaceful would everyone have felt, and be feeling now, if they’d just accepted the embarrassment and moved on? Another example: I heard an Australian political leader yesterday talking about the pain involved in not accepting his homosexuality (as a youth), and how much relief and freedom he experienced when he finally accepted the truth of it.
So here’s the suggestion: accept the truth - whatever it may be and, more importantly, whatever it might mean - then move on.
Peace of mind follows.
